What Are OOAK Beads?

One Of A Kind Trollbeads are, as the name suggests, unique beads. They are not the same as those found in the standard production run and catalogues - and the price is set appropriately higher when they're on sale.

There are different forms of one of a kind beads. Perhaps the most sought after is the prototype design or artistic experiment that never made it into production as a regular part of the product range.

The vast majority of OOAK trollbeads available to buy are technically "seconds": something about them is not quite "right", perhaps the colour or shape is a little out of tolerance for that particular design. Although these are technically flawed it is this "flaw" that makes them unique and hence sought after.

In this day of homogenous mass production there is something extremely satisfying in owning a truly unique piece of jewelry.
