Edinburgh Loch Ness Discovery Centre

But who cares about that? It's a great legend so the new (2005) Edinburgh based Loch Ness Exhibition Centre is a welcome addition to the capital's list of tourist attractions.

The Loch Ness Discovery Centre is in the centre of Edinbrugh on the Royal Mile, next to Saint Giles' Cathedral. It reportedly cost half a million pounds to build.

The centre is open all year round although times change according to season. It features a 3D cinema showing a film hosted by Adrian Shine of the Loch Ness Project. The soundtrack is available in five languages (English, Spanish, Italian, French & German). There is also, of course, a Nessie shop.

The Edinburgh centre is run by David Bremner whose brother runs the original Loch Ness 2000 exhibition at Drumnadrochit.
