City Pass

In 2005 Edinburgh became the first city in Scotland to launch a European style city pass for tourists. Around 80 cities worldwide have similar pass schemes available.

The city pass - an electronic smart card - is aimed at short break tourists. It is designed to allow them to explore the city more easily and to save money.

The pass provides free entry to over two dozen of Edinburgh's attractions as well as special offers at selected retailers and free public transport. It comes complete with a 90 page colour guidebook to help plan your stay in the city.

The Edinburgh Pass was developed jointly by the Edinburgh and Lothians Tourist Board (ELTB), the City of Edinburgh Council and Scottish Enterprise Edinburgh & Lothians. You can buy the Pass from ELTB tourist information centres or buy online at the ELTB website.
