Famous April Fool's Day HoaxesFifty New NeopetsOn April 1st 2005 many Neopets fans were excited by the announcement of 50 new types of creature becoming available. These ranged from the cute Codybear through the eerily familiar Hughman to the gloriously evil looking Nikondrak.It was, of course, a hoax. It was however a very well executed one because the pictures of the "new" pets must have taken a lot of work - many people wish they had been for real! You can still see the fifty April 1st pets at the Neopets site.
