What Is ESP?

ESP stands for "Extra Sensory Perception". This is a blanket term given to a number of different "psi powers" studied in parapsychology. There is a lot of overlap between ESP and various forms of psychic divination - some people suggest that they may be different manifestations of the same phenomena.

The key word is "perception". ESP refers to knowing about things in a way that cannot be explained by the normal senses. This is known technically as "anomolous cognition" and as such it differs from "anomolous action" which refers to using the power of the human mind to do things.

Some of the most well known forms of ESP include:

TelepathyMental communication

Some of the lesser known forms of ESP include:

RetrocognitionAnomolous knowledge of past events
