It's open season on the Storsjo Monster - dubbed Seweden's version of Nessie.
The monster reportedly inhabits the 300 ft deep Lake Storsjon, Lamtland and has been sighted at intervals since 1635. In 1986 the regional council gave the beast protected species status.
However this status has now been removed, following government wtachdog objections that a species that might not even exist doesn't need protecting.
