Tin Foil Hats: No Defence Against Mind Control

Saturday, November 12, 2005

Researchers at MIT have discovered that wearing a tinfoil hat doesn't necessarily defend you against mind control - in fact it might make things worse.

The researchers tested a variety of "tin" (actually aluminium) foil hats and looked at how effective they were in blocking certain radio frequencies. Although signals at many frequencies were attenuated, a few fequencies were actually amplified by wearing the hat.

What is really interesting is that the frequencies amplified by the tin foil hats coincide with certain bands allocated to government and multinational corporations.

The researchers conclude:

"It requires no stretch of the imagination to conclude that the current helmet craze is likely to have been propagated by the Government, possibly with the involvement of the FCC."

The pro-foil community has already responded, for example with this rebuttal.
