Tonight sees the world premier of the new movie "The Adventures of Greyfriars Bobby" in, appropriately, Edinburgh. The film was written by John Henderson, Richard Matthews and Neville Watchurst. Henderson also directed. The cast includes Christopher Lee and Ardal O'Hanlon.
Although the story is set in Edinburgh, much of the filming took place in Stirling. The Stirling location was much quieter than Edinburgh's Greyfriars churchyard.
Unlike the earlier Disney film, this version apparently sticks much more closely to the real Greyfriars Bobby story.
The premiere is in aid of Barnardo's and the Dogs Trust.
