A church in Tignish, Prince Edward Islands, is attracting visitors hoping to see the face of Jesus. The face is reported to be visible on a Lenten pennant hung behind the altar of the St. Simon and St. Jude Roman Catholic Church.
The purple cloth, which depicts a crown of thorns, is not new however this is the first time the anomolous image has been seen in it. The cloth was hung up last week on Ash Wednesday and the face was first noticed on Friday.
Apparently the face of a person with long hair can be seen by the faithful. Most seem to believe it is the face of Jesus; others say it resembles the Virgin Mary.
Some non-believers have said that it looks more like a cloth with wrinkles.
