Hogwarts "Dragon" Skull UnveiledThursday, May 25, 2006
Harry Potter and friends get everywhere - this time it's the Children's Museum of Indianapolis. The museum has unveiled a new exhibit: the skull of Dracorex hogwartsia, which roughly translates as "Dragon King of Hogwarts". The skull remains were discovered by three friends from Sioux City, Iowa who were hunting fossils in the the Hell Creek Formation of South Dakota. Although it looks like a dragon - with a flat head and spiky horns - it's actually a dinosaur. Despite the fun name, this is a serious find. Spencer Lucas, curator of paleontology at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History, said: "What you knew about pachycephalosaurs - you can chuck it". The museum hasn't been slow cashing in on its famous new exhibit: you can even buy an "Official Dracorex Hogswartia" T-Shirt!
