How to Buy a Crystal Ball

With so many New Age shops and online stores selling crystal balls today, how do you know which one to buy? Which will be best for you? As with all aspects of scrying, one word more than any other sums up the process of choosing a crystal ball:

Intuition

The right crystal ball should call out to you, you should simply "know" it is attuned to your psyche. If a crystal "feels" wrong then it probably is.

In an ideal world we would be able to view and handle a selection of crystal balls, feeling their vibrations before making our choice. Unfortunately few of us are lucky enough to have a well-stocked psychic shop in our neighbourhood. Therefore buying a crystal ball over the Internet becomes the route most of us take.

Whilst nothing can substitute for actually holding a potential scrying ball, there are some things that can help guide your buying choice:

Size of Crystal

As a rule of thumb, the larger your crystal ball then the easier your scrying will be. Bigger is not necessarily better - if a small crystal calls to you then go with it. However if you are unsure then a larger ball is probably better, although it will cost more.

Stands

How will your crystal ball be supported whilst you ask it questions? If you simply hold it then there is a chance you might drop it, especially if you relax. Some people like to rest the crystal on a silk cushion, others prefer a wooden stand. These stands sometimes come with the crystal, if you buyone separately then make sure it is the right size.

How Clear a Crystal?

How clear should your crystal ball be? This is a question on which psychics disagree. Most natural crystal usually contains imperfections and bubbles. A perfectly clear crystal is considered by some to be "sterile" and lifeless. Others prefer a completely clear crystal because it allows them to see more easily without the "imperfections" to distract them. Again, let your intuition guide you.

The Retailer or Manufacturer

Have a look around the site from which you are thinking of buying a crystal ball. What does it say to you? Is this a site that fits in with your world view? Are they likely to be in tune with your energies? The exact same crystal ball purchased from two different sites could have different results - because you will always know where you bought it. A crystal ball - like any psychic tool - should be treated as something special, right from the first moment you buy it.
